Share Live Location in Two Clicks
Quick Share, everywhere
Sharing a vehicle's live location used to mean a trip through the sharing screens. Now a Share button sits on the map popup, the asset action bar, and the Command Center header — tap it and a link is ready in two clicks, with your preferred defaults applied automatically. A new Settings → Sharing tab lets you set those defaults once: how long links last, whether speed is shown, and how viewers access them. The default link expiry is now a sensible one hour, and you can pick an "until arrival" option that automatically ends the share once the vehicle reaches its destination.
A live map worth sharing
The public tracking page your customers see has been rebuilt to feel premium. The vehicle now glides smoothly across the map with a polished directional marker, and viewers can flip between 2D and 3D views — complete with 3D buildings and a camera that follows the vehicle's heading. A satellite view and a real-time traffic layer are available too, along with a live indicator, an idle status, and a clear note if the link expires mid-session. Existing links can now be edited after creation, so you can extend or retarget a share without starting over.
Links that send themselves
For recurring routes, tracking links can now send themselves. Configure auto-send on a route and the moment a scheduled run starts — or the vehicle leaves your depot — each stop's contact automatically receives their tracking link. Per-stop contacts live right in the route editor, and status badges show which routes and links have auto-send active. No more remembering to share the link every morning.
Geofence Library & Instant Alerts
One place for all your geofences
A new Geofence Library brings every zone you care about into one place. Draw precise polygon boundaries around irregular sites — not just circles — and categorise each geofence as a depot, warehouse, or site. Every geofence you save is immediately available across alerts, sharing, and routes, so you define a location once and use it everywhere.
One-shot and temporary alerts
Alerts now understand lifecycles. Create a one-shot alert that fires once and disarms itself — perfect for "tell me when it arrives" — or cap an alert at a set number of triggers. Expired alerts are clearly badged and can be re-armed with one click. A two-click Quick Alert sheet on the map popup and Command Center makes setting these up nearly instant, with smart defaults for the zone around the vehicle's current position.
Alert people who aren't users
Alerts can now notify people outside your account. Add external recipients by email or WhatsApp directly on an alert — a customer waiting on a delivery, a site manager, a contractor — and they'll be notified without needing a login. External recipients receive a tidy hourly digest with a sensible rate cap, so nobody's inbox gets flooded.
Fleet-wide coverage
Alerts can now target your whole fleet or an asset group dynamically — vehicles added tomorrow are covered automatically, with no need to edit the alert. A fleet-wide quick geofence alert lets you ring a location and watch every vehicle against it in seconds.
Alerts That Work Your Way
New alert types and conditions
Power voltage alerts let you watch for a battery dropping below — or spiking above — a threshold, ideal for catching flat batteries and charging faults early. Coolant and oil-temperature alert types have been added, and any threshold alert can now require the ignition to be on (or off) before it fires, cutting false alarms from parked vehicles.
Trigger delay and configurable idle
A new "trigger delay" option means an alert only fires if its condition holds continuously for the duration you choose — a temperature blip of a few seconds no longer pages you. The idle alert threshold is now fully configurable per alert, so you decide how long a vehicle sits with the engine running before it counts as idling.
Easier to set up, easier to follow up
The 45-option alert-type dropdown has been replaced with a fast searchable picker. Priority alerts can bypass the digest and email you instantly, digest timings now respect your timezone, and each alert now shows its own history — how many times it fired, what was sent, and when — with a simple on/off toggle right on the row. Quick alerts created from the map now also email you, so you're covered even away from the dashboard.
Vehicle Health, Colour-Coded
Green, yellow, red — at a glance
Vehicle health is now categorised into engine, fuel, battery, and device groups, each rolled up to a simple green/yellow/red status. Fault codes are enriched with plain-language descriptions — including a diesel-specific dictionary for SCR and NOx systems — and presented as clean health tiles instead of a wall of codes. Verdicts are now written in plain terms: what's wrong, why we think so, and the one action to take next.
Tracker health with a memory
The Diagnostics tab has been restructured around a clear split: your vehicle's health and your tracker's health. New detect-and-confirm insights spot patterns — like a device that stopped reporting or a suspect power connection — and ask you to confirm what happened, so diagnoses get sharper over time. A new Care timeline shows every remediation performed on a tracker, so you can see the full service history of the device itself. Diagnostics also now stay available for trackers that have gone silent — exactly when you need them most.
Your Fleet's Day, on a Timeline
The Daily Activity glance
Reports now open with a Daily Activity glance that reads like a story: every trip and stop for the day laid out as a timeline, with real street addresses, inline route maps for each trip, and stops as short as a quick pickup surfaced as first-class events. It defaults to today, follows whichever vehicle you have selected, and loads fast — no report builder required.
A better builder for everything else
When you need more, the report builder is now template-led — pick what you're trying to learn and the right report is preconfigured. The vehicle picker is searchable, the OBD report now includes engine thermals (coolant, oil, intake, and ambient temperatures), and fuel and temperature charts render cleanly. All report timestamps now display in your local timezone.
Beacon-Tracked Equipment Goes Live
Equipment on the live map
Assets tracked by Bluetooth beacons — tools, trailers, containers — now appear as live cards and markers on the map alongside your vehicles, each with its own beacon-specific card, popup, and sidebar showing what matters for equipment. A single visibility toggle controls whether they appear.
Movement history and protection
Every beacon-tracked asset now has a movement timeline and breadcrumb trail, so you can see where a piece of equipment has been and which vehicle carried it. New beacon alerts warn you when a tag hasn't been seen for too long or its battery runs low — catching a lost asset before it's truly lost. Registering and assigning beacons is smoother too, with a steadier wizard and smarter defaults.
Smarter Fuel Intelligence
Refuels and drains, detected properly
Fuel event detection has been rebuilt to read the fuel signal directly, independent of trips — so a refuel while parked between trips is caught, false "refuels" from fuel sloshing on rough roads are rejected, and fuel alerts now fire reliably. Estimated fuel costs are attached automatically using your account fuel prices.
Understands your tanks
For vehicles that only report fuel as a percentage, the platform now self-calibrates each vehicle's tank capacity from its refuel history, converting percentages into real litres over time — and you can set a manual tank capacity that automatic calibration will never overwrite. Fuel is reported in the unit that's actually measured, litres or percent, with no misleading conversions.
A Smoother, More Reliable Live Map
Real-time you can trust
Live updates are now ordered by the server rather than each device's clock, which eliminates a class of missed status changes — a vehicle flipping from moving to parked always lands on your screen in the right order. Ignition detection now uses server-side truthing with automatic recalibration per vehicle, parked vehicles no longer flap between statuses, and stale engine data is cleared when a vehicle goes offline. Statistics and mileage aggregation were also made more accurate, including reconciliation of late-arriving data.
Faster with big fleets
Map rendering has been tuned for large fleets — off-screen markers are culled, crowded areas animate more efficiently, and marker animation pauses entirely while you're on another tab, saving battery and keeping the dashboard responsive.
Find the right vehicle faster
A new "nearby vehicles" mode shows the closest vehicles to your own live location — or any point you pick on the map. The asset list gains a "last seen" filter and a tracker-model filter, and per-asset safety zones can now be displayed on the live map, with a focus mode that strips the interface back to just the map.
One Account, Two Apps
Switch between IoT and Mobility instantly
If your account includes both the IoT tracking platform and Yipii Mobility fleet management, a new IoT | Mobility switcher pill in the header moves you between them with a single click — no second login, in either direction. Sessions hand off securely behind the scenes, and the pill simply shows what's available if your plan only includes one side.
Easier Installations
A dedicated installer experience
The installer micro-site at install.yipii.io now covers the full journey: a stepped signup, QR-code scanning for trackers and beacon sensors alike, an install-photos step so every installation is documented, and a self-serve path for clients — plus a "become an installer" flow for partners. A forgot-password flow and polished onboarding round it out.
